The mermaid is so prominent in Irish folklore, with Seamus Heaneys 'Maighdean Mara' and Nuala NÍ Domhnaill's poem of the same name. Legends describe merrow's (Irish for mermaid) as beautiful mortal women that resided in lakes and the ocean. 

These earrings are inspired by mermaids, they sit comfortably on the ears, with twisted 1.5mm wire and a little mermaid tale at the end.
